The 100th Day of School
Our 100th Day of School fell right smack in the middle of Catholic Schools Week this year, so we had way too much celebrating to do!!
For our 100th day, we did everything the 100 way.
The munchkins explored the number 100 by counting and writing on their number charts, counting unifix cubes on the ten-frame trains, and creating 100 cents with our basket of money.
We created 100th Day sunglasses and made a huge banner for our celebration. Each munchkin added nine pictures, which made 99 things in all. So with the number 100 in the center, that made 100 things on the banner.
We wore our glasses and carried the banner through the hall singing to all the other classes (as well as the librarians & cooks) so that everyone could celebrate with us!
We ended our celebration with some M&M fun!
Each munchkin counted 100 M&Ms.
Finally! 100!
Then they sorted them and created a little graph on the work mat to see which color they had the most of (or the least of).
And of course, they got to eat them!
But not all 100 at once!
Happy 100th day of school!
Until next time...
Giggles,
Mrs. D.
