Snyder Village Field Trip

Some Special Celebrations

Our class had the honor of joining the first grade on a field trip to our local retirement village (Snyder Village) for their April Birthday Celebrations.  We helped provide the entertainment!

Mrs. P, our music teacher, worked with all the munchkins on some special songs.  The residents at the retirement home really enjoyed our visit, and so did we!

I wonder which was the favorite?

Maybe...
Elephants Have Wrinkles?
I'm a Little Teapot?

Or was it...
Take Me Out to the Ballgame?

One of the honorees was celebrating her 104th year!

Beautiful!

Until next time...

Field Trip Fun

Music in Our Schools Month

Mrs. P arranged for a great field trip to Kidder Music as a culmination to her celebration of music during the month of March (which is Music in Our Schools Month).  We went with the first grade and we all had a great time learning about, listening to, and trying to play all the interesting instruments at the shop.  We even got to make a little instrument of our own to take home.

The bus ride over was 1/2 the fun!

We gathered together and got to know our host.

Then we heard saw and heard some really cool instruments.  How talented the folks at Kidder Music are!  Amazing!

We heard string instruments...

and brass instruments...

and woodwinds...

and even percussion!

Then we got to play a few...

and make our own.

What was more fun...making the instruments or making the NOISE?

Or maybe it was the bus ride!

Until next time...

Mrs. D.
