Meeting the Beautiful Stranger
This most lovely book was added to our classroom collection just this year by one of our munchkins! We all thoroughly enjoyed reading it this week, as we learned all about the beautiful stranger that appeared to Bernadette at the grotto. We had some wonderful little projects for this feast day too.
One we kept at school, decorating the wall around the statue of Our Lady.
Finished...complete with yellow roses on her feet!
Many of the munchkins enjoyed a coloring page in their free time, too.
The second project took a little longer (especially to dry!). The munchkins made these on Thursday and they were able to take them home right on her feast day.
So pretty! Just like Our Lady!
The only regret to this week was that the nasty flu bug has hit our classroom and we had way too many munchkins out this week and unable to enjoy these beautiful projects. Hopefully we will all be healthy by next week as we celebrate St. Valentine's Day!
