OUR SCHOOL AND FAITH COMMUNITY
St. Mary’s School is the only Catholic Grade School in Woodford County. We have educated children living in the Metamora, Germantown Hills, Washburn, Eureka, and Roanoke areas for over 135 years. This is a tradition we are very proud of and one that we continue to build on as a faith community and family.

Our children are only young once. The decisions we make about their education will last a lifetime. A St. Mary's education will Enrich the Mind, Build Character, Inspire Leadership, Instill Discipline, and Nurture the Soul. Our goal is to educate the whole student....Mind, Body, and Soul. St. Mary’s School offers Classes for Grades Kindergarten through 8th Grade. St. Mary’s also offers a 3 Year Old Preschool Program and a 4 Year Old Pre-Kindergarten Readiness Program in our Early Childhood Learning Center.As parents, our primary goal is to help our children find their way to HEAVEN! St. Mary’s School truly helps us in achieving this eternal goal!!!

Our mission is to model and teach Gospel values in all areas of a balanced curriculum so the teachings of Christ become our focus and Christ Himself, our constant point of reference. St. Mary’s School is committed to giving our students a solid academic and spiritual foundation rooted in the Catholic faith. We nurture the growth of the whole child ~ Mind, Body, and Soul. This is achieved through our faith filled school community, together with the parents who are the primary educators of their children. We celebrate the many gifts and talents of our students, as well as the diversity of our community, church, and world.

St. Mary's students consistently excel academically and athletically. St. Mary's provides a faith based environment where students can mature in their ability to master their actions and make good choices. We encourage personal responsibility, teamwork, and respect for ourselves and others.
St. Mary's develops Christian leaders who will influence and transform society. Our goal is to graduate students who are articulate, confident in their ability to succeed and dedicated to excellence in all areas of their life.
St. Mary's teaches the importance of service towards others by putting the message of the Gospel into action. Grounded in Christian virtue, we provide many opportunities for our students to grow in charity, generosity, and gratitude.
DID YOU KNOW?
St. Mary's is a member of Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA). St. Mary's offers their students the opportunity to participate in Archery, Baseball, Basketball (Boys and Girls), Cheerleading, Cross Country, Scholastic Bowl, Softball, Speech, Track & Field, and Volleyball.
In the past five years, St. Mary's athletes have won 5 STATE Championships in both individual and team sports, including Softball, Cross Country, Track and Archery.
St. Mary's has won the state Scholastic Bowl Championship.
St. Mary's students contribute over 350 community service hours a year.
