The Empty Tomb

The Empty Tomb

After our week off for Easter, the munchkins came back ready to explore the octave of Easter.  We began with the gospels and atrium works of The Empty Tomb.  After reading from the Bible, the munchkin loved retelling the story using the Empty Tomb pieces.

We created our own little empty tomb using a paper plate and...

PAINT!
It's always a good time when the paints come out!

The munchkins painted each 1/2 plate.  The plates were stapled and an angel was placed inside the open space.  Then the munchkins added the proclamation:  "He is risen!"
These will make great table centerpieces at home!

We had a coloring page of the women at the tomb, as well.

The munchkins created one other fun little empty tomb project with this neat "color your own puzzle" from Hobby Lobby.

They were fun to take apart and put back together!

And, of course, there was a recipe...

The Empty Tomb

This fun recipe idea came for Catholic Icing and the munchkins just loved it!

Alleluia!  He is Risen!

Until next time...
Giggles,
Mrs. D.
