Living Lent: Part Two

Benjamin's Box
and
Resurrection Eggs

The munchkins loved the story of Benjamin's Box!  They were so engaged as we began reading about this lively little Jewish boy who lived in Jerusalem during the time of Jesus' Passion.  They were so excited each day to see what new things were in Benjamin's box, both through the story and through the pretty little box that we had in our classroom (which, of course, contained the same items as Benjamin's).  And they were doubly excited when we got out the Resurrection Eggs, which coincide with the story as well.  It was a beautiful way for them to begin learning to retell the "greatest story ever told".

Let's play with the eggs!

How can we do it so they don't get all mixed up?

I think they worked out a great system!

Here...It's your turn.  This one is next.

All finished!

Until next time...
Giggles,
Mrs. D.
